For nurses, endocrine diseases may be relatively unfamiliar because they may be more familiar with general nursing skills and disease management rather than specific endocrine disorders. The endocrine system involves multiple glands and hormones, and each disease may have different causes, clinical manifestations, and treatment methods. This complexity requires deeper specialized knowledge and experience to effectively manage endocrine diseases.

However, it is crucial for veterinary nurses to understand endocrine diseases. This enables them to recognize endocrine disorders early, provide appropriate care and education to patients and their owners, and ensure the health and well-being of the patients.
